Brunello Winemaker Night, Wednesday October 29!
This coming Wednesday, October 29, we will have the honor to host winemaker and proprietor, Tommaso Squarcia of Castello Tricerchi - one of northern Montalcino's most exciting producers - to spend the evening with us and our guests to share his stunning wines.
This 15 hectare estate that surrounding the 1441 Trincerchi Castle represents a set of picturesque hills in the northern, higher-altitude portion of the Montalcino growing region. Planted exclusively to Sangiovese Grosso beginning in 1995, the Squarcia family have taken a perfectly balanced approach, marrying reverence to local winemaking tradition to the developed wisdom of Italy's most talented winemakers. They rely on rigorous organic farming and a patient approach in the cellar, making use of long, gentle macerations and aging in large, neutral botti, in most case for longer than required. The combination of their careful methods and high altitude vineyards planted with west and northwestern exposures offer a set of wines with unusual precision and elegance, but no lack of both the depth and breadth that draws so many to Brunello.
Simply booking a table will allow you to partake in a flight of all three wines he produces, including the tiny-production '1441' Riserva from the killer 2019 vintage for $42/person. Guests will be welcome to order as they wish from our a la carte menu, featuring some fantastic new fall dishes (and the return of a few all-time favorites.

Wine Corner Wednesday
Every 2nd Wendesday we offer a themed wine flight of our favorite small production wines to a group of 8 guests who join us at the corner of our bar. Seats are available by advanced booking only. FOH, BOH, or even restaurant-adjacent (looking at you, wine reps!) - join us on a Monday and pick any pasta and any glass of wine (Barale Barolo excepted, sorry!) for $35(++).
